When the news of Jennifer and John Mayers split broke, rumours had it that John had been the one to end things. Friends of Jennifer have spoken out to Star Magazine telling them that it was actually Jennifer who ended the relationship with one of the main reasons being the latest craze to sweep the internet, mini-blogging site 'Twitter' which carries the tagline "what are you doing?".
Apparently John Mayer often didn't respond to Jen's calls and emails citing the fact that he was busy, yet when Jennifer checked his Twitter page, he'd been Twittering non-stop.

I guess Twitter can be pretty addictive which is precisely why the sites popularity has soured astronomically over the past year. Check out this article on mashable.com, the social media guide, which tells us that Twitter is now growing at a staggering 1,382%. As to whether the story is true or not... I say possibly? Only John and Jennifer know all of the facts but they're only human and it sounds like the kind of thing a guy would do if he was getting cold feet or wanted to back off from the intensity of a relationship. It also sounds like the kind of thing a girl would do when they feel less important than a website, gadget or piece of technological equipment!

On the subject of celebs Twittering... This weekend, Saturday morning, Punk'd prankster Ashton Kutcher posted this photo (below) of wife Demi Moore’s barely clad butt on his Twitter page. The couple were holidaying in Turks and Caicos for Demi's ex Bruce Willis’ wedding to lingerie model girlfriend Emma Heming.
